Master’s Level Intern Supervised by Mary Sanger, M.A., LPC-S, LMFT-S, LCDC
Dallas, Texas Therapist Specializing in Teens/Tweens, Millennial Couples Counseling, Bariatric Surgery Counseling
Much like a spider web, I believe that we as individuals are connected to the people and things of which we are a part. I work with children, teens and adults on all concerns that an individual or family may have. However, due to my personal experiences, I have a special interest in working with military issues (reintegration, PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression, etc.), regaining control of one’s life as an adult after experiencing childhood traumas, food addiction, and bariatric surgery patients. I view the therapeutic process through a wide lens and include in therapy, when appropriate, spouses, children, other family members, friends, community and organizations. After obtaining my undergraduate degree in psychology in 2006 from Humboldt State University in Arcata, California, I took a nine-year “time-out” to support my husband of almost thirteen years, an active-duty soldier in the U.S. Army. I’ve lived in Texas for a total of seven out of the past ten years, so I consider myself a Texas transplant. I fell in love with this state, and do not intend on leaving!
Currently, I’m a student intern obtaining a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University. I hold student memberships in the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, as well as the Dallas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. I’m also a lifetime member of the honors society for both Delta Kappa (The International Marriage and Family Therapy Honor Society) and Psi Chi (The International Honor Society in Psychology). I’m being clinically supervised by Mary Sanger LMFTS, LPCS, LCDC, and co-owner at Insights Collaborative Therapy Group.
My family lives in a Dallas suburb with our three small dogs. On rare occasions when I’m not seeing clients or attending school, I like to read mystery novels, go shopping, attend concerts, and spend time with my family while binge watching shows on Netflix/TV.
My rate is $65 for a 50-minute session and $90 for an 80-minute session. Click here to request an appointment.
