Chemical Dependency Assessment
A chemical dependency assessment is an evaluation process used to determine a person’s level of involvement with alcohol and/or drugs. Chemical dependency assessments are
sometimes ordered by a court system, employer, or school. Individuals or families may want an assessment because of ongoing concerns about chemical abuse. Once the severity of a client's problem is determined, recommendations will be made for appropriate levels of treatment. Assessments are conducted by trained counselors and take approximately 2 hours to conduct.
